What we're up to

Updates on DeadRooms and the studio, newest first.

The DeadRooms test build is here

You can now download DeadRooms for Windows, or as an APK for Android phones. It's an early test build, so expect bugs and changes. Once it's installed, the game keeps itself up to date, and PC and phone players play together on the same server.

How DeadRooms makes money (and how it won't)

DeadRooms is free. We'd also like to make games full-time and pay for the servers, so here's exactly how the money side works.

Two currencies

  • Fingers are what you earn by playing: for kills, and for every round you clear.
  • Almond Water is the premium currency. 100 Almond Water costs €1, so a price in Almond Water is easy to read in euros.

The rules we set ourselves

  • Everything in the shop, guns included, can be unlocked with Fingers. Almond Water is a shortcut, not a gate.
  • Almond Water can also be found. Now and then a bottle turns up somewhere in a run, and when someone picks it up, everyone in the party gets it.
  • Achievement rewards can't be bought at all. You earn them or you don't have them.
  • No paid loot boxes. You always know exactly what you're getting.
  • No fake timers, and no hiding what something costs in real money.

If you never spend a cent, you're still a player we made this game for. If you do, thank you: you're the reason we can keep going.

Hello, we're 369Games

369Games is a new independent game studio from the Netherlands. Our first game is DeadRooms: a co-op zombie horde shooter set in the Backrooms, the endless, humming yellow rooms you were never supposed to end up in.

You team up with friends, hold out against round after round of the dead, and get properly lost in a maze that keeps going: up and down stairs, through flooded Poolrooms, past a party room that's much too happy to see you. PC and Android players share one server, so it doesn't matter what your friends are playing on.

Our studio has one idea at its heart: give, but willing to receive. We give you a whole game for free, made to be fun whether you pay or not, and we leave a fair, honest way to support us if you'd like to. Here's how that works in DeadRooms.

DeadRooms is still in development. Playtests, store pages and downloads will all be announced here first.
