1. Who we are
These terms are an agreement between you and 369Games ([legal name], [address], the Netherlands, KvK [number], VAT [number], [email protected]). They apply when you play DeadRooms or another 369Games game, and when you buy anything in them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
2. Your account
- You need an account to play. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
- If you're under 16, ask a parent or guardian before you make an account or buy anything.
- Pick a name that isn't offensive, hateful or pretending to be someone else. We may change or remove names that are.
- Your account is personal. Don't sell, trade or share it.
3. Playing fair
We want DeadRooms to be fun for everyone, so you agree not to:
- use cheats, hacks, bots, or tools that change the game or give you an unfair advantage;
- exploit bugs on purpose (please report them instead);
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, including in voice chat;
- attack, overload or try to break into our servers;
- sell or trade accounts, items or currencies for real money outside the game.
If you break these rules, we may warn you, take away what you gained by cheating, or suspend or close your account, depending on how serious it is. If you think we got it wrong, contact us and we'll take another look.
4. A free game in development
DeadRooms is free to play and still in development. We'll keep adding and changing things: maps, weapons, balance, prices in the shop. Sometimes the server will be down for updates or problems. We don't promise any specific feature, and we may change or remove content to keep the game fun and fair.
5. Fingers, Almond Water and items
- Fingers are earned by playing.
- Almond Water is our premium currency. You can buy it, and it can also be found in the game.
- Both are used to unlock things inside our games. They have no value in real money, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be moved to another account.
- What you unlock is a personal right to use that item in the game for as long as the game runs. You don't own it outside the game.
- Spending Fingers or Almond Water in the game is final. We don't give currency back for in-game purchases.
- Promise to decide on: if we ever have to retire an item you unlocked with Almond Water, we'll replace it with a similar item.
6. Buying Almond Water
- Prices are shown in euros, including VAT. 100 Almond Water costs €1.
- You buy through the store you're playing from ([Google Play and/or Steam]). You pay the store, and the store's own terms and refund rules apply as well as these.
- The Almond Water is added to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed.
- If it doesn't arrive, or you were charged wrongly, contact [email protected] and we'll fix it, or make sure you get your money back.
7. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
In the EU you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something you buy online. For digital content like Almond Water, which is delivered straight away, that right ends once delivery has started, but only if you agreed to that before paying. So before you pay, the game asks you to agree to this:
At checkout: "I want my Almond Water right away. I agree that it is delivered immediately, and I understand that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once it is in my account."
You can't complete the purchase without agreeing. After you buy, you get a confirmation of the purchase that repeats this:
In the confirmation: "You asked for immediate delivery and agreed that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the Almond Water is in your account. It has now been delivered."
None of this affects your other legal rights. If what you bought doesn't arrive or doesn't work as described, you're still entitled to have it fixed or your money back.
8. Ending
- You can stop playing at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). Fingers, Almond Water and items on the account are lost when it's deleted.
- We can close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
- Promise to decide on: if we ever shut down DeadRooms, we'll announce it at least 60 days before, and we'll stop selling Almond Water on the day we announce it.
9. Liability
We make our games with care, but DeadRooms is in development and comes as it is: there may be bugs, lost progress or downtime. We are liable as the law requires. We never limit our liability for intent or gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow it. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem.
10. Changes, law and disputes
- If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll also say so in the news and in the game before it takes effect.
- Dutch law applies. If you're a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer law.
- If something goes wrong, please contact us first. We'll do our best to sort it out. If we can't, you can take it to the competent court in the Netherlands or in the country where you live.
